I hold a Ph.D. in mathematics from Kent State University, Kent, OH, with a focus in real analysis. I have taught at the university level for fifteen years, and have been employed both as a professer and programmer. My research interests include orbits of integrable functions, economic inequality measures, and distance education, and my programming interests involve computer algebra systems, hand-writing recognition, and computer learning. I have presented my research locally, nationally, and internationally, and I am poised to deliver my first online offering of research and educational aids.
In my personal time I enjoy a few hobbies. I have cycled regularly since I was a child and enjoy both mountain biking and road cycling. I currently favor road cycling as it gives me a greater range and view of the world. I have been kayaking for fifteen years, but only as a liesure activity on open water and rivers of class three and under. I took up running late in life at the age of 38 and became addicted: As of this writing I have run two marathons, a dozen half-marathons, and countless shorter races. I have also cooked since I was a teen, and find it a relaxing and enjoyable daily task. I recently began baking bread, and there is nothing like the smell of a fresh loaf of bread baking in the oven.
